Top Ten New 2009 New Year Resolutions

This Friday is New Year’s Eve, so if you don’t have plans yet, you may want to start thinking about how you want to spend your night. While I’m not a fan of paying $200 covers to go to a bar that any other night would be free, New Year’s Eve is the night to go out, have fun, and meet people…and you can always find a good deal.

If you are using a stop smoking aide, don’t expect it to do all the work for you. When people ask me what I used to quit smoking and I tell them the patch, they say, “Oh, I have heard that it doesn’t work.” You need to understand that even when using a stop smoking aide, you will have to have the willpower. And don’t say you don’t have willpower. It’s in there. You just need to decide for yourself that’s what you want to do. Using a stop smoking aide helps with withdrawals but it will not be a miracle cure.

Unlike the American new year, Chinese New Year is more than a one day event. It lasts for two weeks starting February 3 through February 17 this year. In celebration of Chinese happy new year 2019 wishes, the Book Revue bookstore in Huntington, New York, is holding a free Toddler Time event featuring the author of the children’s book, The Magic Brush.

All locations of Chaya are celebrating New Year’s Eve in style…but Chaya Downtown promises an experience. Chinese lion dancers, music and a four-course feast are offered from 5pm-10pm for $75, or the Sushi Lover’s Special for $65 at the sushi bar. You can’t go wrong if you want ambiance.

You must change your outlook, your behavior, and your beliefs. This is not going to be easy. There will be a day that you will not want to workout, and that is not the end of the world. But having a plan to get into good shape will put you in the best possible position to succeed.

Stay hydrated. A huge problem in overweight Americans is that we develop a quality where we mistake thirst for hunger. If you feel hungry, but you ate very recently, drink a full glass of water first and see how you feel.

As I said earlier, the above top ten weight loss tips are essentially the short version of everything you need to know. If you have the motivation, you’re golden. If you don’t and you’re just looking for a magical effortless solution, nothing will ever change.
