Q: Your education and professional experience in engineering are both impressive. It is something that takes complete devotion and focus. How old were you when you embarked on that journey and what drew you to it?

Danielle Olivia Tefft: I have a B. S. in aerospace engineering from Boston University and a M.S. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer. I guess that sounds impressive, but I like to say those credentials helped me in a past life. I was an engineer for 14 years. Now, I’m an antiques dealer and a freelance writer. I seem to reinvent myself every decade or so!
Work and chore list: assign two daily chores. Make one chore to be done each day: Haustiere online, room tidying, making the bed, etc. Set one chore as a rotating chore to be done once a week: On Monday, fold your clothes. On Tuesday, ‘clean your pet’s cage’. On Wednesday, ‘wash the dishes’. On Thursday, ‘vacuum your room’.
